To vote, or what to vote?
There’s no denying election fever is coursing through most (if not all) of our nation’s veins. Walking back to my constituency this evening, I overhead one man guarding the sanctity of his ballot (Aba vote kaslai dine ta vote diyepachi bhanaula ni), another lauding its significance (Budho-kauli ko katti? Vote garne bela ta khanu paryo ni).
So all together now, it’s time for La.Lit’s Election Special. We endorse no-one, but our contributors have minds of their own. Kohi Raikoan keeps it down to a shot. LatoKosero gives “two hoots”. Nepalikukur woofs, then has a careful second sniff. Prawin Adhikari sifts through the debris of the 2008 CA elections, and hightails it to Marpha to scrutinize the Thakali notion of democracy. Nayan P. Sindhuliya chooses to not choose. And Kashish D. Shrestha considers who he wants to be fighting his battles. It’s all a bit confusing. But I guess that’s democracy. Have a lovely day tomorrow, y’all.
